Tips: Basically, for ink cartridges, please use a zip-lock bag to seal it properly or pack the toner in the original box then taped. Placed in a plastic shopping bag or garbage bag is also acceptable.
Some charity organizations may pay shipping charges for these cartridges; we recommend you consider paying the shipping fee yourself.
2. Send back to the manufactures, or which store you purchased them from
Unfortunately, 123inkcartridges currently do not accept empty ink toners. Customers could buy the remanufactured ink toner from us, also one of way to reduce the solid waste.
Most brands of ink toner have their own return policies which customers could be referred.
Lexmark : Lexmark has the Lexmark Return Program.
Xerox : Xerox Canada now takes back used Lexmark/HP original and Xerox branded replacement cartridges! Follow the process on their website and they will give you the shipping label to send empty ink cartridges back.
3. Search Internet organization and sell them for cash
That’s the easiest way to recycle your old cartridges. Normally, those sites offer pre-paid free shipping or pick up of used cartridges, and some pay up to $4/ cartridge
Staple: Bring your ink cartridges to the local staple store; you may earn rewards on your used cartridges up to $2 .

Tips: Each recycling site has their own accept brands list, make sure you check it out before sending your empty cartridges out.
So far, you will find most of those ways are for OEM toner cartridges, and most cartridges can be recycled up to six times. So here are some websites accept remanufactured ink cartridges.
