How to Clean Printer Ink Off Your Hands
There are no ifs ands or buts about it, printer ink is messy and is a pain to clean off any surface, let alone your hands. As with any stain, the sooner you remove it the more successful you are in eliminating the stain. Therefore, the first solution is to wash your hands with soap and water. Then if the usual method does not do the trick, then it is time to move onto to another remedy. Below are several solutions on how to clean printer ink off your hands.
Healthy Solutions that Clean Printer Ink Off Your Hands
- The best remedy we have heard of is tea tree oil. This is the most natural solution since it is an oil extracted from a plant and made into an essential oil. Simply rub tea tree oil on your hands until the printer ink is gone.
- Lemon juice and baking soda. Lemon juice will get rust stains out of countertops and appliances when mixed with baking soda. Why not printer ink?
- Vinegar and baking soda. Same reason above.
- Baby wipes are good for almost anything and you do not need to have a baby to buy baby wipes!
- Hand sanitizer.
- Rubbing alcohol, which is the usually the base of the latter two products.
Simply rub any of the above products on your hands and wash until the ink comes off.
Unhealthy Solutions
It boggles our minds that people actually use these products on their skin. It just goes to show how different we are from each other.
- One method that is not recommended is using bleach on your skin. It does not matter if the bleach is diluted, using a harsh chemical on your skin is not healthy.
- The second is nail polish remover. This is a pretty potent chemical too. Though women use it on their fingernails to remove nail polish, it is quite another to rub it all over your hands. To each their own.
- Glass cleaner. It usually has ammonia in it, which is yet another harsh chemical.
- Hairspray.
Printer ink does eventually come off your hands. Be safe about the method you choose to remove it. Good luck!
