I believe that many people have met such kind of problem: you change a new toner for your printer, hoping that they can work with each other very well, but finally find that the toner light is still on which a signal for “Replace Toner”, “Toner Low” or “Toner Ended”. Under this circumstance, most of us will doubt the quality of the toner and plan to buy another toner. However, what you need to do to remove these kinds of messages is to manually reset your printer. You should be aware that different printers require different methods to reset. In the following part I will show you  how to reset your Brother HL series for the TN660 toner.

a. Open the front cover so that the toner cartridge is visible.
b. Power off the machine by pressing and holding the power button (located on the top left side of the machine above the LED labeled Toner).
c. Hold the GO button while powering on the printer.
d. When the Toner, Drum and Paper LED’s are ON and the Ready is OFF, release
the GO button. All LED’s will turn off.
e. Press the GO button 9 times. The Toner, Drum and Paper LED’s will turn ON.
f. Close the front cover.
g. Press the GO button 5 times. After a short pause, all of the LED’s will turn OFF
and the machine will go through its normal boot up during which different LED’s
will turn on and off. The reset is done when the Ready LED is ON steady.
Your printer will work well after the above steps.

I have tried several times to reset my HL-L2360DW printer without success. I still have the same message: replace toner.

    What can I do.
