How to Reset Your Brother DCP Series Printers?

Sometimes your printer may not reset properly after putting in a new cartridge and leaves you with one of the following messages “toner low” , “toner empty” or “toner ended”, etc. It is so annoying, isn’t it? Actually, it is possible for you to manually reset the printer to remove these kinds of messages. However, each printer has it’s own resetting procedure. Before you reset the printer, you should firstly make sure that it is turned on. Then you carefully open the front cover and the LCD should display “ Cover is open”. Perform the following steps to reset the rotation count for the TN660.
i. Hold the MENU button down for 5 seconds until the Reset Menu is displayed.
ii. Press the UP ARROW until TNR-HC is displayed.
iii. Press the OK button.
iv. Press the UP ARROW to reset. The LCD will briefly display “Accepted”.
v. Close the front cover.

The mentioned steps are simple and now you can finally change toners as you like. TN660 toner cartridge also works with Brother HL series and MFC series. But their reset procedures are different. You should figure out the series and the corresponding resetting steps before you reset the printer.
