At some point during your ownership you will need to know how to sync iPhone devices to allow information sharing from your computer to your iPhone. You can add your contacts information and your music and your videos from iTunes Library. Your photos, your calendar and your email can also be included. All of this information must be transferred through the iTunes program using a synchronization (sync) process. Follow the information in the steps below to complete the sync process.
Step 1: First, connect your iPhone to your computer using the USB cable. The computer must have iTunes downloaded on it. Look for the iTunes window and find the tabs you will need to use to sync your iPhone. There is a bar at the bottom that will show the capacity, or how much space, is available on your device.
Step 2: Pick the contacts information that you want to sync by opting for the ‘info’ tab. You can sync all the contacts or just specific groups of contacts.
Step 3: Also under the ‘info’ tab you can select which calendar you want to sync. You can sync from Entourage, Mac, or Outlook using your PC. You can include email accounts and Safari bookmarks that you have listed.
Step 4: You can opt to sync all your songs or select specific playlists from the ‘music’ tab. If you want to include videos, you must select that option.
Step 5: If you have photos you want to transfer, go to the ‘photos’ tab and choose which you want to move.
Step 6: Also, you can opt to move ‘podcasts’ and ‘videos’ by going to each of those tabs to make your selection. Again, you must make the selection of which you desire to transfer.
Step 7: When you have made all the selections that you want to sync, go to the ‘sync’ button at the bottom of the window. Click on the button and the information transfer will occur automatically.
