How to Get an iPhone out of Recovery Mode

Every once in awhile you may get yourself into a situation where you have accidentally placed your iPhone in recovery mode. When you are trying to figure out how to get an iPhone out of recovery mode, you must be careful to not lose all of your data. This is because the iPhone will require you to restore the phone using the factory defaults or a backup source. This means if you have not backed up your data it can all be erased.

Make sure that you have installed the latest version of iTunes and then launch the program. Plug the iPhone in using the USB cord. When the icon for your iPhone appears under the list of devices in the iTunes menu, click on it. Click on the summary tab in the iTunes main window and then when you are prompted click on the “restore” button. Choose whether you want to restore from a backup or if you want to restore the iPhone to its factory defaults.

It will take a few minutes to complete this process. But when it is done, the iPhone will reboot itself. Make sure to leave it plugged in until the computer is completely through with the activation sequence. Then you can eject  the iPhone.
