The Difference Between Drum Kit and Toner Cartridge

These days, our customer service received some questions about drum kit. For some brother printers, like Brother MFC 7220, Brother MFC 7225N and Brother MFC 7420, they come with Drum Kit and Toner Cartridge, so it’s easy to confuse Drum Kit with Toner Cartridge.

The drum kit is a consumable part and will need to be replacing when your print appear excessively blackened, or you get a check drum warning. The drum kit clips onto the back of the toner. It usually for about three times as many pages as the toner.

If you find you don’t have any ink, you need to change the toner. If you find your print appear excessively blackened, or you get a check drum warning, which means you need to change the drum kit.
